During this time, I will share my heart-felt story about my 12+ year battle with an eating disorder and negative body image. You will walk away with genuine and personal advice from someone who has struggled with self-love herself, a healing food plan and easy to make recipes, life coaching tips, workout ideas you can easily do at home, and tips and tricks for loving, accepting, and caring for yourself each and every day!

Thai Massage Partner Workshop

Traditional Thai massage is an ancient healing system that combines broad and targeted acupressure, stimulation and manipulation of energy lines called sen, and assisted yoga postures. The body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked in order to clear energy blockages and relieve tension.

This workshop will include the demonstration of techniques and the opportunity to give and receive Thai massage with a partner. No massage or yoga experience is necessary to enjoy this workshop fully.

Come with an open mind and enjoy this time of connection, relaxation, and fun! You will leave this workshop with the tools to continue these techniques on your own.

About Caroline: I studied various types of meditations including Centering Prayer, Vipassana, Pranayama, Tonglen, Shamatha, and guided visualization.  I earned a Masters in Contemplative Counseling Psychology in Boulder, Colorado.

Caroline was certified to teach yoga in Sedona, Arizona through 7 Centers Yoga Arts. For a month she was immersed in a yogic lifestyle and had never felt better – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It was a time of incredible growth for her.

From a place of gratitude for having been able to learn and practice meditation and yoga, Caroline offers classes intended to heal us from the inside out.

New Beginnings Yoga

This workshop is designed for anyone that is brand new to yoga or is looking to re-learn the basics. Students will learn everything from yoga etiquette, to yoga philosophy, to posture alignment and more.
Students will come away with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of yoga postures and breathing and will have enough knowledge to be comfortable walking into most yoga classes.

Restorative Yoga & Meditation

Stress.  Most of us feel it.  Maybe more than we would like.  It typically takes your body 24 hours to metabolize stress.  A Restorative Yoga practice can dramatically reduce the effects of stress on your body and your mind.  In this 75 minute practice, you will be guided into a series of poses in which you are completely supported with bolsters and blankets.  These supported poses allow you to find stillness in both body and mind.  Leave feeling as if you have a new lease on life, completely relaxed and renewed. Lets Bend – Workshopping Backbends

Whether you find yourself able to backbend with ease or they are a constant struggle there is always something new to learn. Some people struggle with relying on the natural bend in the lumbar spine. Others have trouble opening the front body while backbending. Both of these challenges, as well as several others can be overcome in this workshop. You will be guided through backbending drills and flows to help you self-analyze the patterns your body exhibits right now and develop new strategies to change those patterns to find ease and strength in backbending.

Clarissa is a 500 hour RYT teaching weekly classes in the Quad Cities IL/IA since 2014. She also travels extensively presenting workshops, presentations around the country and leading international retreats. She teaches what might be considered Vinyasa style classes mostly but loves instructing beginners and teaching new innovative flows. After a decade as a student Clarissa enjoys sharing what she has learned, helping her students shape their future through yoga and movement. She has had a dedicated Ashtanga practice for 4+ years that has fueled her desire to learn and share the power of yoga with as many people as she can!

Yoga Study

Yoga study is for anyone who would like to learn more about yoga and themselves.  The weekends will include many yoga classes and workshops with various teachers, breath work, chanting, discussion and meditation. After completion of  9 weekends you will receive a certificate that allows you to becomMe a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance if you choose. Laughter Yoga (Hasya Yoga) is not based on humor, but instead uses laughter as exercise. It is an aerobic workout great for relieving the stresses of everyday life. It makes you feel good! It is a fun and easy way to exercise. Regular laughter exercise can reduce health care costs. Don’t you enjoy laughing with your friends? Add deep breathing, clapping and stretching and you have something close to Laughter Yoga! Marta’s class can be done standing or in a chair or on the floor. The gentle class is good for adults of all ages.
