Ecstatic Dance

This dance is an inner/outer journey of moving meditation. It develops a direct body-spirit connection, letting your body and inner guide be your teachers. It’s about being present with your own energy and discovering your own dance within using this movement and energetic experience to release stuck patterns in your body, emotions, mind and spirit.

Anyone can dance in this space. You do not need to be a dancer or even know how to dance at all. This is a personal experience in a safe space with others who are also experiencing their own dance.

Dance Rules-
1. Move however you wish
2. No talking on the dance floor
3. Respect yourself and one another

Blessing of the Energy Centers Meditation (from Dr. Joe Dispenza)
In this meditation we will focus attention on each of the body’s energy centers (chakras) with the intention to create coherence within and around each center.
Science has shown us that all disease, whether physical, emotional, or mental, begins with incoherence in the energetic field within and around our bodies. By focusing our attention on creating coherence within our energetic centers, we can create wellness in all aspects of our being.

FREE Laughter Yoga

Jodi Hart will again visit Okoboji to teach laughter yoga. Jodi Is a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader from Eurika, Missouri. Laughter Yoga (Hasya Yoga) is not based on humor, but instead uses laughter as exercise. It is an aerobic workout great for relieving the stresses of everyday life. It makes you feel good! It is a fun and easy way to exercise. Regular laughter exercise can reduce health care costs. Laugh, add deep breathing, clapping and stretching and you have something close to Laughter Yoga! Bring anyone; kids, parents, grandparents, friends, and everyone who needs a laugh! Please come for a FREE laughter yoga class August 26, 12 pm. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Yoga study is for anyone who would like to learn more about yoga and themselves. This weekend will focus on yoga lifestyle and ethics. The workshop will include yoga classes, breath work, anatomy, chanting, meditation and discussion. This weekend is part of a 9 part series. After completion of 9 weekends you will receive a certificate that allows you to become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance if you choose. Update for building project: The project has been delayed due to the rain we received earlier in the summer. However, the concrete should be down in the next few days. When that is finished, the project will begin to move much faster. We are still planning on moving this fall!
